The Solution Architect's role is to design and oversee the implementation of effective and scalable IT solutions that meet business requirements and align with enterprise architecture goals and principles. This position will work with business stakeholders across Rain Bird to fully understand business requirements, evaluate technologies, tools, platforms and integrations for suitability, design technical solution architectures that forward Rain Bird's digital strategy, provide technical leadership and help define and mature architecture and innovation practices. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to understand business requirements and design effective and scalable IT solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to support the implementation of IT solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of various systems, applications, and technologies within the IT landscape.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Utilize reference architectures / reference implementations defined by Enterprise Architecture to derive a solution.
  • Create and maintain documentation, architectural artifacts, and technical specifications for IT solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security protocols, and industry best practices in the design and implementation of IT solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

 

  • In-depth knowledge and experience (6+ years) as Solution Architect preferably in the manufacturing and software industries.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, architectural patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in system integration, data modeling, and application development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) etc.
