Rain Bird Marketing Group Manager Featured in Landscape Management on Wi-Fi Enabled Products
On June 29, Joe Porrazzo, marketing group manager for controllers at Rain Bird, was interviewed by Landscape Management on how Wi-Fi enabled products has impacted the irrigation industry.
“This technology is here to stay,” says Joe in the article. “Our industry will only continue to adopt it more in the coming years.”
Through Wi-Fi enabled irrigation controllers, homeowners and contractors can monitor electrical and hydraulic integrity, damages to pipes/valves, faulty wire connections and much more in real time. Some controllers also allow for pairing with weather data, which in turn will allow for more responsible water usage and reduce financial costs for the homeowner. Aside from providing benefits to the homeowners, contractors can also generate more cost savings through monitoring homes remotely after installing Wi-Fi modules.
Landscape Management magazine focuses on providing information, news and guidance to those working in the landscaping and lawn care industries.
Joe has been with Rain Bird since 2014. Prior to becoming the marketing group manager for controllers, Joe held the titles of product manager and contractor account manager at Rain Bird. Joe received both his MBA and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Arizona.
