What should I do?

All California distributors must add the 1804CA model to their inventory and ordering systems by Nov. 15, 2019. Orders for the 1804R model will not be accepted after that date from California distributors.

How do I set up the new 1804CA model?

The below table has the information needed to set up this new model for purchasing.

What has changed?

NewBox

  1. Case quantities and case dimensions.
  2. Manufacturing date has been added to the spray body.

What has stayed the same?

NewBox

  1. The spray head itself
  2. Pallet quantities

Why is Rain Bird doing this?

The California Energy Commission has adopted a regulation requiring that all spray bodies and shrub adapters sold in California after Oct. 1, 2020 be pressure-regulated. Distributors and contractors must be able to prove that a non-pressure-regulated spray head was manufactured before this date to be sold or installed in California or face serious fines.

We are introducing a 50-count carton to make mixing and matching with all Rain Bird nozzle case and bag quantities easier.

I have questions about other brands. What should I do next?
