The Landscaper Magazine Highlights Rain Bird Products at Hurlingham Club
Hurlingham Club, one of the world’s finest private member clubs, is adjacent to the River Thames in Fulham, England. The Hurlingham Club’s Grounds and Gardens team is dedicated to sustainability and ecological preservation on the 42-acre estate and partners with Andre Holt of Holts Irrigation to help guide their irrigation management. Holt has recommended Rain Bird products for sports turf and landscape irrigation throughout the estate, and over the years has installed Rain Bird 950, 750, 8000 and 5000 Series Rotors with MPR matched precipitation rate nozzles.
“The show tennis court and croquet lawns were fitted ten years ago, the golf course rotors some 12 years ago, and other surfaces in the intervening years. They bear testimony to the reliability and durability of Rain Bird technology,” The Landscaper Magazine reports.
With the benefits of drip irrigation in mind, the Grounds and Garden team, along with Holt, have also installed over a mile of Rain Bird’s XFS Dripline along with TBOS Series Battery-Operated Bluetooth controllers so the team can control the system remotely through the Rain Bird App.
“Dripline unobtrusively ensures the necessary hydration with minimal environmental impact. It also has a number of advantages including simple layout, pressure reducing emitters that regulate water flow as well as a good range of lock type compression fittings,” says Andre Holt to The Landscaper Magazine.
