Rain Bird Micro Bird® Jet Recognized with Technical Innovation Award at 2024 EIMA

Rain Bird’s new Micro Bird® Jet has been announced as a winner in the EIMA 2024 Technical Innovation Competition in Bologna, Italy. Since 1986, this contest has identified industry innovations that improve quality and productivity and environmental sustainability, as well as those companies that feature clear innovation as well as unique improvements within an existing product category.

“Micro Bird Jet is the product of tremendous engineering innovation and collaboration with our key customers all with the goal of developing a rugged, micro sprinkler that is easy to use and consistently delivers the right amount of water to plants where it is needed. It was a large team effort to create such a simple and effective agriculture irrigation solution,” says Greg Palumbo, director of Rain Bird Agriculture. “We are honored to be recognized for these efforts.”

Micro Bird Jets are the only micro sprinkler system with a reversible deflector, which allows this sprinkler to grow as plants mature. Customers can start with a 3’ “E” pattern for plant establishment and change to something larger like the “A” pattern as the root zone grows. The Micro Bird Jet’s snap fit assembly makes maintenance easy, ensures consistent alignment of parts, and reduces time and expense. There is no waste, and no tools are required.

EIMA (the International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition) has been held every year since 1969. This year, it will be held November 6-10 in Bologna, Italy.
