The Sales Specialist is responsible for securing business via Distributors and Contractors whilst growing sales and market share in the sales territory. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to influence change. The role is hands on and will suit a highly motivated individual who is a self-starter that thrives on challenges. High levels of commercial acumen and strategic thought will be key to your success in the role, as will possessing excellent organizational and planning skills. You will have a keen ability to effectively manage competing priorities whilst successfully growing a highly autonomous sales territory.

Experience in the irrigation industry will be highly regarded. You will also have a demonstrated ability to build rapport, develop strong customer relationships and have a track record of delivering on agreed goals and sales targets. Intermediate/advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite of products and highly developed presentation skills will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales and market share growth objectives with top professional irrigation partners.
  • Support the Area Manager on Distributors support.
  • Develop and maintain excellent commercial relationships,
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications (Degree qualified)
  • At least 3 years sales experience and a proven ability to sell.
  • Strong selling/communication, influencing & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High levels of strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Well-developed Computer skills
  • Demonstrated success & experience in B2B sales environments.
  • Ability to travel & spend time in territory including overnight trips.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Irrigation experience (including design and installation)
