How has working for Rain Bird benefited your career growth?
The last three years at Rain Bird has given me the opportunity to better understand the golf irrigation business in ways that my previous 12 years at the distribution level did not. All the facets are in play – marketing, budgeting, forecasting, and so on.
What are the most important traits to be successful at Rain Bird?
It’s important to be organized and a self-starter. You must be able to recognize challenges and come up with solutions.
What are your future goals at Rain Bird?
I've been around turf sales since I was young, due to a father in the same profession, and I think I have a good understanding of the industry. I enjoy the working environment and view sales as a teaching profession, demonstrating how our products can help an end user achieve their goals. My goal is to stay in sales management and help our distributors to spread the Rain Bird message.
